Hello

Hey everyone.
I am glad that your Bear Lake trip was nice.  I have a question for you.  All those times that I said something and you all said I didn't say it, did I actually say it and you guys just couldn't understand?  I probably won't find out what my new address will be in Sierra Leone until I get there, but if I find out before I will let you know.  No one came this week to bring my nativities.  I am going to call someone tonight and find out when.

My cold has been getting better.  It is just a cough right now.  All the dust and smoke and other crud in the air is killing me.  I am sure it will rain soon and knock down the dust and cool the temperatures.  This week was another hard week for contacting.  Tuesday and Wednesday was very uneventful because no one would give us time or stick to there appointments.  Most were suprised that we came when they said, because they gave us a time just to send us away the first day.  It is really annoying.  On Thursday,  we didn't want to go back for lunch until we had found one person.  After a while of waiting, we finally found one person who would give us a seat.  The next day, one of our previous people that we found, we came back to at the right time and she gave us a seat.  The rest of the week was good.  Right now I am just trying to make sure the area is good for the next guy who will come to replace me.  President Cosgrave came down on Friday to interview us and to do a few special interviews.  He told me that the 5 of us would leave on March 8.

Yesterday, we had a few more people at church than usual.  Most of them came in late, but we were happy to see them.  Those are the 2 things we are struggling with now.  Finding new people and getting them to church.  I can tell that Elder Naawu is getting discouraged by it, and I am trying to help him to see how with constant effort, people will come, it just isn't always immediate results.

I guess I didn't realize that you guys might also have coming home dreams.  During my first year, if I had one, I wouldn't think much of it.  Now if I have one, I usually hit my head on my pillow and roll over.  They kind of stink.  Especially when I am waiting for the stake president to call me so I can come and be released.

I hope that everyone has a good week.  Enjoy going back to school and few breaks until end of school.
love you,
Elder Warner Ashby
