I didn't know it was Easter this week. I will get out my cards and go through them. (Last year we sent some picture cards that depict the last week of Christ's life. We have done this for years and didn't want him to miss out.)
The food here is mostly rice. For a couple of days this week I ate rice for most, if not all meals. They have different stews to put on top: cassava leaf, potato leaf, some other leaf that I can't spell, but sounds like crey crey. Rainy season will start next month. It will last till about September and by July, August, it will be raining almost non stop I am told.
Having the senior couples in the compound is nice. Yesterday they fed us food. They also help us get supplies. I am still getting to know the area, but I know some of the junctions and the names of some people we visit a lot. The language will take me a while. The way to say "how are you" is "how de bodi" kreol is English that has been broken down 4 or 5 times. When they speak slow enough, I can understand, but it will take a while to speak.
I hope you all have a good week. Enjoy Easter. Love you all.
Love, Elder Warner Ashby

(An oven even! This is a mission first!)
I want to try to use it. I just need to find the ingredients

The head is in our main room with hats next to it.
I put a hat on it.
