New Year"s

Hey guys,
Happy New Years.

Thank you for finding out the Regents stuff. I will send a letter to President about it. (time to think a little bit about schooling and scholarship stuff in this new year) This week was very slow with the holiday.  It was very difficult to find anyone to teach.  On New Year's Day, we could not find anyone who was around or who was sober.  But we did find some few people this week.  One man we found went to the church once or twice in Germany but didn't like it much.  We are going to try him again see if we can change his mind.  Our branch didn't do anything for New Year's.  Most of the members were disappointed that there was nothing happening.  We had our meeting with Ike and then went to Sister Rita's chop bar and ate fufu.  After, we went home and I watched Freetown and did a suduko puzzle and lied in bed for a while.  I fell asleep around 11:50 and woke up at 3.  I tossed my books on the ground and went back to sleep.

On Wednesday, Elder Naawu and I and 2 other companionships went to Kumasi for a new missionary training.  They talked about learning to teach and find and how to learn from each other.  After, we went to KFC to celebrate Elder Hill's birthday.  I love KFC.  It is always nice.  After traveling to and from Kumasi in one day, when we get back, I am tired.  I got your letter you sent with the IDL finally. (I sent it in August with Elder Lindley.  It got filed with the drivers license and never got to him)  I also got a letter from the Stake and from Grandma Warner.  Please tell her thanks for me.

thanks goes to Elder Hill's mom for
sharing this picture of the birthday lunch at KFC.
Happy Birthday Elder Hill!
I love KFC!

We had our baptism for Sister Constance this week.  It was a great service and she was so happy that she was reborn on the New Year.  The program went well and we had a lot of people there to support her.  We told the sisters that referred her during the week and they were really happy.  I did the baptism.  It was the first one I have done since June in Kumasi.  I had to go through the words just to remind myself of them.

I hope that everything is going well back home.  I love you much.  enjoy the last few weeks of the semester.
Love you,
Elder Warner Ashby
