Single Digits

Hey everyone,

I wanted to give a few personal statistics for myself in Obuasi zone.  By the end of this transfer, I will have spent 9 transfers in the zone, over half my mission.  6 months in Gausu and 7.5 here.  All of those last 5 transfers have been training.  I have now proselyted in all 7 areas of the zone also.  And I am now in single digits for months left.  Crazy.

This transfer is now over.  It was only 4 weeks long. And the next one (or the one we are now in) is 8 weeks long.  Last week I had to go on exchange twice.  Usually I go with every elder once a transfer, but because it was short, I only went with the senior companions and because Elder Naawu is young, I saved all of them for the end.  This transfer I will be able to go with all of them.  This week, I went with Elder Annan to his area.  I enjoyed working with him. He has some cool people in his area.  Then I went with Elder Hill on Saturday.  We had fun.  Working with an American is always fun because you have things in common.  We talked a lot while going.  When you work with Americans, you talk about thing back home, and when you work with Africans you compare lots of things and learn cultural stuff.  Exchanges are cool, but 2 in a week is annoying.
Obuasi Zone

Yesterday, we didn't get all the people we wanted to church.  We have been working with a man named Jonas for a while.  He loves what we teach but coming to church is a problem.  He is a father of  3 and we are sure that when he comes, so will his wife and children.  We did have some small girls who are siblings of some of our young men who we can baptize in a few weeks.  That will be nice.  We have to teach them simply and fast or they lose attention.

On Monday, Ike brought over our African wear that Elder Brandt and I had made.  They looked sweet.  I will send some of my pics of them.

I hope you all have a great week.
Love you all,
   Elder Warner Ashby
We wondered what that picture of the beautiful fabric was all about a few weeks ago.
It made a beautiful outfit.

African wear.  Looking good!
