Thanksgiving

Before I answer your questions, I have one question.  How does everyone know about that cat picture?  Everyone has asked about it.  (A member in the branch he is serving in, posted these pictures to Facebook with Elder Ashby and his companion looking kind of hungrily at a cat.  I think we may have all asked him about it.)

Dinner?

A big thanks goes to Ike for the pictures of these two funny elders

My companion, Elder Naawu's name is pronounced N-A-woo. (long "A" sound)

No baptism this week.  Our lost sheep is again off the grid.  A place with no network or electricity he says.  One day he will baptize but he needs to decide how serious he is going to be about it.

Thanksgiving was cool.  I went on exchange with Elder Nortey-Annan on that day.  We walked plenty with out much finding.  We did have some cool lessons with his people.  That evening, we all came back and started cooking our food.  The 2 Ghanaians didn't want us to cook their chicken, so we made our own.  Elder Brandt worked at KFC for a while so he cooked the chicken and I made the mashed potatoes.  The potatoes turned out nice.  Nicer than I thought with powdered milk and fake butter.  Then the chicken was sweet.  The other's chicken turned out burned and dry, but they still said it was better than ours.  Whatever makes them sleep at night.

Happy Thanksgiving!

On Saturday and Sunday, we had our branch conference meetings.  We found out after that we weren't supposed to go to the Saturday meeting, but they were nice.  The branch conference was cool.  They talked about being your brothers keeper and tied it into home teaching which doesn't happen anywhere around here.

Next week is transfers and I still have to go on 2 more exchanges before the end of the week.  I don't think I will be transfered, but we think Elder Nortey-annan will be.
I hope you all have a great week.
love you all,
Elder Warner Ashby
