Hey guys,
This week was cool. On monday, we killed and ate our goat. I think I told you about it last week but it was amazing. On Tuesday, we took Elder Vause to see the people he wanted to say goodbye to. Then we went home and got some things ready for the next day. Elder Vause wanted to get up at 4 but something happened to the alarm and it never went off. He got up at 5 and thought his companion was playing a joke so he put salt in his water bottle, but he missed and put it in mine. I am going to chastise him when I see him next. But we ended up getting to the bus station late. Elder Vause and I traveled to Kumasi together. Eventually the AP's picked up us trainers and took us to the mission home. There we ate pizza and President instructed us trainers. After that, they gave us our assignments. I am training Elder Lindley (He is from Wellsville, Utah.) We are excited. He gave my International Drivers license to Sister Cosgrave and she put in my file, so the mission has it. (We sent his IDL to Ghana with Elder Lindley. It is so awesome that he was chosen to train this new elder) The AP's took us back to the station and I talked with some people and then gathered everyone going to Obuasi and went back.![]() |

Training is not to bad. For the first while I will be teaching most of the lessons but I will be moving him into the lessons slowly. This week I had him teach one of two principles and give some baptism dates. I think that this week I am supposed to have him take the lead in lesson one.
We've only eaten rice with Elder Lindley. No fufu or banko, but soon we'll test his gut. He is a cool guy. Still has his American humor which is hard for the people to understand and trying to adapt to the culture. But all that is understandable and he is doing a good job. He is cool.
Today, we will be going to Kumasi. Tomorrow is a mission tour with Elder Whitney L. Clayton of the Presidency of the Seventy. We will go to Kumasi tonight and eat at KFC and spend the night in a missionary apartment.![]() |
