Transfer news and a new apartment

Hey everyone

So, answers to questions first.
"me abuswia" means my family (he opened his letter with this a couple of weeks ago)
Best sound to hear is people laughing (a sound he really enjoys in his area)
No, I haven't heard of the game Oware.  Sorry.  There are other games that I have seen.  Like some variation checker game and strange card games.  I don't understand any of them really.

So we got our transfer news this week.  I am staying and Elder Bradley is leaving.  My new companion will be Elder Makuni.  We think he is South African from his name but no one knows him, how long he has been here or where he is coming from.  He is probably a young guy from a village somewhere.  He will be District leader so he is also Senior companion.  I am happy.  I wasn't really looking forward to doing either.  Both are easy, but Junior comp is really nice.  Elder Adams will be coming to be Elder Onen's companion, which will be cool.  Our apartment is going to be cool.

I got the packages with Meet the Mormons and Grandma's package.  Everything came well, but the pepperoni grease got on the oatmeal.  It wasn't a problem though.  Meet the Mormons was cool.  We really liked it.  Being called a Seventh Day Adventist was not very appreciated but it was a really good show.  We watched it with Elder Verdoni who also liked it.

Contacting has been pretty slow this week.  Even president has been concerned about our low number of new investigators.  We are hoping that with the new blood of Elder Makuni, we can get some new investigators and get people to come to church.  We sung "Put Your Shoulder To the Wheel yesterday in sacrament meeting,  and the line "the work is long but must go on, put your shoulder to the wheel" struck me.  We just need to keep working every day.  No matter how monotonous the work can be.

We will be moving into our new apartment soon.  My guess is next week.  We should be getting a call from Brother Cooper telling us when.  It will be about a 2 minute walk from the chapel which will be nice and hopefully the water will be better there.  We have no control over the power, but water would be nice to have.  It is a 2 bedroom apartment which is smaller than our current one, but it will be new.  The office elders will probably bring their truck to help move our stuff over.  We are told that all we need left in the new apartment is a water tank and a pump.  So it should be soon that we move in.

Love you guys.  enjoy work and what is left of school.

Love you,
Elder Warner Ashby
