This is a letter that we received in the mail today dated February 9. He says lots of the same things in his email from that time but explains a bit further some of the things that were happening. (Although I am a bit confused on parts of it. I've typed it as he has it written.)

Dear family,
I would like to start this letter with a riddle. What does child birth, the second coming and Peppe all have in common? (peppe is the local spicy pepper like a jalapeño.)
Answer: You know not the day nor the hour it comes. And it is usually followed by burning.
Mission is still going well. I have been extremely tired and dieing of heat. It was super dry and dusty for a while and then it started raining small and pumped a ton of humidity into the air. My farmers tan is coming in nice though.
We made our baptism goal for January, but are a bit worried for February. One of our sweet guys decided to move to his hometown without telling us and we don't know where it is or if there is a church nearby. One guy's uncle won't pay for his schooling if he joins. Mbiah's 2 daughters are supposed to and still might, but one of them has a large eye infection and can't come to church. We still think that we can achieve our goal, but we probably won't over achieve.
We did meet a powerful family a week or two ago. We were trying to call a recent convert. Elder Schraedel accidentally called another recent convert who moved and his sister had the phone. We were trying to find the house and asked a kid for directions. He was no help, but we went to a house we did know for directions, who was a niece of one of our members who feeds us all the time. It turns out we called the niece so we had a small lesson of why she should come to church- she has already been taught everything else. When we left the house, we found the kid we asked for directions waiting outside. Later we found out that he thought he misled us and wanted to fix it. We asked if we could meet his family. He took us there. We met with them a little while later and had a powerful lesson with them. The father is a less active methodist who doesn't feel he has a close relationship with God. His kids all love us and if they start coming to church they can be baptized soon I think.
We have found however, that we should pick our friends more wisely. We befriended a small girl who likes to walk with us. We needed a new investigator, so we asked her if her mom and dad were home. She said yes they were. We then asked if they spoke English, because they usually don't, but she also said yes. She took us to her house and we learned that it was all to good to be true. The parents were both home and spoke good English, but the father was also a pastor for some small church that he probably formed and we never heard of before. They invited us in like all Ghanaians do but weren't interested in listening to us. So we left as soon as we could.
Today is P-day and I am hoping to buy my hair clippers today. President is coming next week and I need a hair cut again. I hope all is well back home. The pouch system is going slow lately so this might not reach you for a while. I love you all.
Love, Elder Warner Ashby
