Hey everyone,
Your weeks sounded cool and the hunting story's were great. I have been looking forward to them for a few weeks. Sorry you didn't get anything.
Our baptism didn't come through this week. She needs a special interview also. The crappy thing about it is that President was here that same day for interviews (Kwame's phone was off and we couldn't find him so he wasn't interviewed) and I asked the zls if we should move sister Rita's interview back in case of a problem, president could do it then. But they didn't want to. I hate to say I told you so but, I did. She is waiting patiently for it. I hope it can come in a few weeks because I might get transfered. We found out that she has a son and that he is nine years old. So we are going to teach him so he can baptize with the mother.
Elder Lindley and I were bored of contacting and being told to come another time. We came across a road that always has a giant puddle in the middle of it. We decided to skip rocks across it for a while to take a break. Soon we had a crowd of about 13 kids around us. They were getting us rocks and trying to skip some themselves, but failed. We played with them for a while and then went back to work. It was fun to play with the kids. Those ones weren't too annoying. Just had to tell them that we were American, not Chinese.
We had a zone activity today. We wanted to cook up a pig and have fufu, but pigs are very expensive in Obuasi, so it changed to chicken, well live chickens are also expensive, (or no one wants to spend bit more money, the pigs would have been 20 cedis a person) so it went to frozen chicken and no fufu. We had planned to go to the waterfall that I had the pics of also. Today, we all met at our apartment and got ready. Elder Shobede, one of the zone leaders stayed back to cook the chicken and I volunteered to stay with him and help since I had gone there once already. We had a good time. We boiled and then seasoned and fried the chicken with onions and ate it when we all came back. I don't know if I have told you, but chicken bones are nice. "I ate the bones!" Chicken bones are the only source of calcium. No milk.
Well, I hope everyone has a great week. Enjoy school and work.
