Hello everyone and Happy Fathers Day to Dad,
I hope yesterday was a great day.
This week was pretty good. We met a few referrals this week who are really powerful. Two of them are brothers. When we taught them the restoration, they wanted the Book of Mormon then. We didn't have it so we promised them for the next visit. The next time we came, we started by helping them fetch water that was coming to the area. There is a large tank that supplies water every few days that has 5 million pipes connecting to it. Most are broken and the people fill buckets wherever the water is flowing. It is not easy getting water to Allen Town, to much mountain. After, we taught the Book of Mormon to one of the brothers and gave him a copy, the next day we taught the other one. The first had already read his assignment and more. We have a lot who will baptize in July. This week we should baptize Sister Gladus who works at the salon. She is the one who doesn't speak English. Thankfully, my krio is improving. We just use lots of pictures and teach very simply. She is always happy to see us.
Starting on Thursday, I started having a large pain in my stomach and abdomen. It was a throbbing pain in my side. It was hard to sleep that night and the next day it continued. I could still work, but it was uncomfortable. On Saturday morning, I felt perfectly fine. I talked with Sister Clawson and she gave a few ideas of what it was. She said it could be my appendix or just pressure in my intestines. She said to call her if it happened again. I think that at 20 1/2 your body just starts to fall apart. Probably crappy beds, but my body just hurts sometimes. Anyway, you don't need to worry, but I would like your prayers because I don't want it to be my appendix.
This weekend was District Conference. We went to the Saturday session and then the Sunday session. At the Sunday, we met at another place because the District Center is small. We got there early and took our seats, but about 30 minutes after the start, we were asked to leave to sit outside so late coming investigators could have seat. I think it was cooler outside than inside anyway. We just couldn't hear as well. The conference was good though.
Hooray!!! Elder Ashby was able to send pictures today!!! And a bonus one from Sister Miner!
