One month has past. I was in zone confrence when I realized it was the 3rd. Kind of cool. I was able to borrow Elder Adams card reader the other day, but I bought one today so I can send pictures more often. I will also fill the USB drives and send them home so you can see all of them. We gutted the goat after those pictures. (The pictures from last week.) They eat most of the organs, but we all got some of the leftover meat. I cooked some yesterday. Goat is very chewy but not to bad. Our apartment isn't the best at getting up on time but I have been trying really hard to get up at 6:30. For most of last week I was able to do it, also, I really have to pee at that time so that helps get me up. (we did tell him we wanted lots of detail in his letters.) Since I am in training we get an additional hour of study so we end at 11 and eat lunch then and then leave. Having the sun set at 6:30 at night is really weird. We get home and I feel that I should get ready for bed but it isn't close to 10:30 yet.

We do get to see conference, but they say it probably will be in Twi, so I might not. We tried to last night. We borrowed our landlords laptop but we didn't have money to buy internet so we gave up. We can read it in the Liahona when it comes. I am starting to understand a few words of Twi, but the people speak it really fast and I don't know enough to communicate with them. They gave me a Twi name, Coffie, which means born on Friday. I didn't know what day I was born on so we picked that day. It really doesn't matter anyway but it is cool and makes the people happy when you say something in their language, but then you have to tell them you don't know much more or they will start spouting Twi at you.
Your new job sounds cool, Mom. Being a TA (teacher aid) sounds really exciting. I know that you will do great at it. How is primary going? Have you started that yet? I guess conference was this week so maybe not.
Zone conference was interesting. We drove 2 hours by tro tro to Kumasi and were instructed by the Holmes and Barney's, (Sister Barney is the mission nurse and Elder Barney is the emergency guy). They gave us good food too.
I really like the Obuasi market. You can get anything in there but you have to haggle it down. We bought crabs today and will cook them tonight. Almost everything we eat has to be fried so the food isn't the healthiest but it is good. When I get home, I will be an expert in frying things.
Doritos tacos sound really good right now. I think when I get home, I might miss fufu, or be so sick of it I never want to hear about it again. It is the dish of choice here. I have had it twice since Monday and banku once. Rice and stew is good too. Rice ball, which is just a lot of rice smashed into a ball in soup is not so good.
I have found that puzzle books are really good at entertaining. Elder Helgesen has a suduko book, but if you could send me a few books like a word search or suduko, it would be great. I now know how to send mail, so next time I see the zone leaders, I will send a few letters.
I look forward to next weeks letters. have fun at home
